I haven't fully committed...but I'm definitely toying around with the idea. I turn 26 this November. After that I'll have a full year in which to make it happen. Anyone want to join me? What do you think? Am I crazy? Any advice?
I did buy a pair of running shoes today. Check them out here. Turns out I pronate slightly. Who knew?!

I always thought you were a pronator. I say don't do it, save your body the immense pain and suffering. Just play a marathon video game.
I'm convinced that anyone can run a marathon. My dad started when he was 58 and has done almost 10 and some relays since then (he's now almost 63). Plus, I have talked to people who HAVEN'T trained and totally finished them. Also, Alison Faulkner is bad-a and has done a marathon. And who doesn't want to be like her? Just train and it'll be CAKE.
Damn you're old! Then again, I still feel 18...it feels weird to be 22.
You know Yancy...you could always just sign up for the thing and then not go...you'll get the shirt and everything along with a number. Just have somebody take your photo at the finish line and drench your shirt with water to make it look like sweat. Don't forget that this race is an approximate run from West Jordan to Provo.
Of course, if you do do it...you'll have an immense sense of accomplishment, realizing that you met a challenge head-on and conquered it. Additionally, you'll probably make a lot of friends and discover a love of running and will find the need to keep doing marithons...you'll inspire people from all around the world and be a symbol of peace and friendship.
On second thought, don't do it. Your life is a lot easier if everyone's expectations of you are low.
