So, tonight I went with a group of BYU interns to this little Ethiopian restaurant. It wasn't bad. But then again, it wasn't exactly what I would call good. I suppose if I was a really sarcastic kind of person I would say that it's no wonder all those little Ethiopian kids look the way they do. I wouldn't ever finish my plate if that's what was in front of me at every meal either.
All and all it was a "good experience." It was something new that I had never done before. (and probobly won't do again anytime soon) You ate everything with your hands and with this crepe-like tortilla (which was cool). Things tasted really vinigery.
Downstairs in the back where the bathrooms were they had this little room with comfy chairs and little tables and pillows and a door you could slide shut (must have been for special groups or something). I could just imagine all these Ethiopians in that room smoking away at a giant hooka as they all sit around on those little cushioned chairs and eat vinegery and spicey flavored lamb, chicken, and beef in little crepe-like tortillas.

That's the great thing about living in a big city...you eat things you never thought you would. I had Ethiopian food about a month ago as well and yeah, its ok, but not something that I'm going to be craving anytime soon. I think my hands smelled for days. Glad you're having fun.
That's the great thing about living in the country...you eat things you never thought you would. I had American food about a month ago as well and yeah, its FREAKING AWESOME, and something that I'm going to be craving all the time. I think my hands smelled like juicy hamburger for days. Glad you're having fun.
Gross. I was there. It's just like he says.
There's this really good Pizza place right near this little corner shop that sells television keepsakes from shows like Survivor and CSI. I don't remember exactly where that is, though. But I know it can't be too far away from "Hello Deli." Should you find it, try it sometime. But make sure you look nice because they didn't take kindly to having a troop of grungily dressed tourists with an apetite walking in. In fact, they hid us upstairs in a corner and tried to pretend we weren't there as much as possible.
pace is funny
