Puppies in need of a home

I got an email this morning from a friend at work about these guys:
Aren't they just adorable?

The email said this:
Rescued 6 black lab (mix) puppies out of the middle of the road on Saturday. PLEASE help find them homes - otherwise, it's Animal Control - which means they only have 5 days. We've bathed them, sprayed them for fleas and wormed them....but we can't keep them. They are currently in a kennel in my basement since I don't have a fence. I've lost count of the number of rescue groups that I've contacted, only to be turned down due to no room. Please check with every dog person you know to see if they need a puppy.

I'm not posting the email senders contact info here, but feel free to leave a comment on this post and I'll email or text you their name, email address and/or phone number.

OMG! The cuteness!

Aren't there any no-kill animal shelters in New York? And if this person has the vet documents, a pet store should gladly accept them (heck, maybe even pay for them) if they have room.

you realize that if i weren't clear the heck across the country, i would totally take one of those off their hands.

and the boy would kill me if i did.

Are you serious! that's kind of amazing. It's SUCH a small world.

We should compare the names and phone numbers of the email. Now I'm wondering where this person lives. I'm pretty sure they're on the east coast and that they are not that far removed from the friend who sent me the email to begin with.

It would be interesting to see the chain.

You know, I had some nun from Africa (totally fake) email me asking if I would please take care of her beloved puppy and she would pay to ship it to me. So I said yes, meanwhile making it obvious that I intended to eat it once it got here. She still tried getting my address and phone number from me!

Scammers can be annoying, but if you're in the mood to play along and psyche them out, it can be a blast :)

totally, but it's even funnier because I'm pretty sure these people aren't trying to scam anyone. They just didn't put a date in the body of the email and then people kept fwd it and deleting the fwd info with the original date sent info...and the chain continued on. haha.

I wonder how long it will be that they keep getting phone calls and emails.
