When in college, I had some roommates who would occasionally wake up to this song in the morning. I set my computer to wake Leah and I up to it a few times the past week, and dang but it's not a peppy way to start your day.
I know that's interesting and all, but the real reason for this post is to point out the fact that, although I've known for years now that the song is called, "Canned Heat", it wasn't until recently that I discovered — by a Leah-invoked appeal to Google — that the words are in fact, NOT: "Got candy in my heels tonight big Ben."
How I let that one slide by me for so long, I have no idea. But the words are actually: "Got canned heat in my heels tonight, Baby."
Oh well.

i experienced some of those jamiroquai mornings. and i tell you what, few things warm my heart more than jason graham with a toothbrush in his mouth jamming to "canned heat."

HAve you seen his Virtual Insanity video? Roy and I used to joke about jumping up onto the moving belt at the checkout counters at the grocery store and "pull a Jamiroquai" :)

I know this boogie is for real. And amen to Jason's toothbrush dancing.
Other funny memory... Adam almost never participated in this ritual, but I remember one morning he quietly walked to the end of the stairs, saying nothing and gave us 15 seconds of the glorious Adam Hochhalter hump dance. He then turned around and went back to bed.
