Merry Christmas from the base of the Grand Tetons

Well I was finally able to get onto the internet out here. It's not the most stable thing, but here I am. I figure I'd take this opportunity to put up a small post. Sorry, no pictures. I don't want to push my luck.

It's nice just sitting here, looking out the window in front of me as I type, and seeing the beautiful mountains, covered in pine and snow. Sometimes you just need to take a break from the regularities of everyday life. Christmas should be a time that fosters that. It should also be a time that fosters family relationships.

That being said, I should probobly mention that I am not spending this Christmas with my family. As things would turn out, I didn't make it all the way up north this year. I know my family misses me, but there were a number of things that just made sense to me at the time as to why I might not go. So, here I am...sitting in a cabin in Jackson, Wyoming with my best friend and his family (one of my several second families), typing away at a blog entry and looking out a set of several massive windows at a range of several Massive mountains.

I love Christmas. Mostly because it facilitates families coming together, building relationships, traditions, and memories. For those of you (both family, and friends) whom I'm not able to physically share this day and time of year with...know that miss and love you. Merry Christmas.

Aww, precious just like I said. And now you're on the phone with my mum. Who is quite jealous of you. I'll be honest. I'm kind of nervous allowing her to talk to you. She'll probably tell you something embarrassing about me. Or about my dad... oh wait. :)

Anyway, she's cute. Like someone else I know.
